Programs
Local Economy Development Program, which aims to
support and strengthen knowledge and skills base at the
local level to stimulate local economies and facilitate
participation in local governance. The program undertakes
capacity building activities to include projects to
strengthen community/people’s organizations towards
self-sufficiency; to empower its members, both at the
household and individual levels and set up support system
that will address other needs.
Research and Advocacy Program that aims to provide
relevant and significant information and analysis necessary
to support local, regional, national and international-level
work around food security and fair trade while ensuring
integration of gender perspective. In general, it aims to
influence the legal and policy environment; purposely
advocating government’s compliance and fulfillment of their
obligations and responsibilities for the benefit of the
agricultural sector.
